The new Wokingham Leisure Centre at Carnival Hub opens to the public on 25th July 2022 as part of a multi million pound investment. Local mum Zoe and her kids aka @adventuresoftheaandjax were invited along to check it out in advance.
Wokingham Leisure Centre Splash Pad
The splash pad is fantastic with sprinklers, steering wheels which turn on more water features when you spin them, a water factory where you lift and move pieces to move the water around, and buckets that tip, along with water pistols too.
Wokingham Leisure Centre Swimming Pool
The splash zone is opposite the teaching pool which is 90cm deep & has stairs into the pool which I always love. Having 2 little kids to 1 adult makes it difficult to get in and out with just ladders so very glad there is stairs too.
They’ve also got the main pool where family fun sessions will be held as well and they’ll have lane only swimming in this pool too. There’s also disabled access via a lift.
You can book family fun sessions via their website and they offer memberships that allow members to swim for free along with up to 4 registered juniors on their memberships which I think is fab! I believe it’s a 2 under 8s to 1 adult ratio in the pool.
How Much is the New Wokingham Leisure Centre Pool?
Without membership prices are (always check the website directly as prices do change over time)
Adult £5.70, Under 3s Free, 6-10 years £1.65, 11-17 years £4

Facilities
There are plenty of family changing rooms which have baby changing tables. Lockers are available but you’ll need to bring your own padlock to lock them.
They’ve got a buggy park where you can lock your prams up (£1 coin deposit needed to release key) – it’s fab for us as we can walk down and know the pram is safe.
You can view the teaching pool from the café and you can view the main pool from a balcony upstairs.
Wokingham Leisure Centre Parking
There’s a Multi-storey car park opposite and you get 2hrs free if you input your reg at reception.
Thea and Jax thoroughly enjoyed themselves and I think they’ve done a really fab job!
