A trip to the Vale & Downland Museum wouldn’t be complete without a stop in their lovely welcoming cafe. It’s set at the entrance so even if you’re just looking for a family friendly cafe but don’t have time to visit the museum, then this is a great place to pop into.
Before heading on my first trip to the museum at half term, I asked on a local mummy Facebook group for recommendations for a great cafe with yummy cake near the Museum. Lots of people came back to say the vote was for the museum cafe.
Bright and with friendly service, they have a great selection of homemade cakes and treats. We enjoyed a huge wedge of tiffin (they definitely don’t scrimp on the portions) and I had a latte to warm myself up too.
Not usually great at sitting still for long, my kids were easily distracted with the large range of second hand books. There’s also a big basket of toys and a bouncy chair that would keep much younger visitors occupied too.
So it’s a thumbs up from me and we’ll definitely try out lunch next time.
