We finally made it to Stay and Play Lane, which is a brand new role play area above the Stay and Play soft play in Aylesbury town centre.
And we’ve already been back again as we had to take Freddie at the weekend! He loved it just as much as Parker did.
The soft play is as it was downstairs, but upstairs (where the arcade used to be) has been transformed into a small world role play village and it’s incredible, I’m so glad Aylesbury finally has something like this.
There is a police station (Policeman Parker put me in jail), a fire station, baby hospital, restaurants, supermarket and petrol station, just to name a few! And all with a road running around the little town and cars for the kids to use. Each place has lots of props and it really got Parker’s imagination going, we honestly had so much fun together!
I also loved that some of the shops were named after local businesses, we had pizza at The Manor, Ice cream at The Works and my hair done at The Archway, what a fabulous touch in support of local businesses!
Obviously it is brand new, but the quality of props and the set up here is so good. There was a member of staff coming up regularly to tidy the props away to the correct shop so that the role play could continue for everyone there and arriving!
And all of this is included in the price of soft play! You can come and go between the upstairs and downstairs as much as you like (although there is no food and drink allowed upstairs.
We were so impressed and already can’t wait to go back, what an incredible addition this is.
