This week we visited the Stay and Play soft play in Aylesbury town centre. It is so convenient if you need to grab a few bits from the shops but also want to amuse the kids for a while!
The soft play itself has a baby/smaller child area with slides, a ball pit and ball feeder, and soft shapes and then it also has the larger main soft play area. It isn’t the biggest soft play we’ve been to but it is on two tiers and is a lovely size for Parker who is 1 (almost 2) as he can explore the bigger area relatively independently too.
But there is also more than enough there for Freddie who is 3 (almost 4) to have lots of fun – it’s one of Freddies favourite soft plays to visit!
The soft play has lots of extra touches like the ball feeder, a screen in the ground that looks like you’re looking into the ocean, a floor piano and a large monster truck that both my kids always love!
Unfortunately there was an issue with these extras on the day we visited but I know from previous visits that these are a firm favourite with my children and they are usually always working just fine! There are also challenges and wall puzzles throughout the soft play that really add the extra bit of fun!
This soft play has lots of seating areas – lots of it very comfy! And they also have a new picnic area which Freddie is excited about.
The cafe (The Lounge) offers a lovely selection of drinks and has hot and cold food available for adults and children. The pizza is a particular favourite! There are also always lots of choices of yummy homemade cakes!
Since it opened we have always found this soft play reasonably priced, clean and the staff are always very friendly. It’s the ideal place to spend a morning or an afternoon and maybe grab some lunch or cake! There is also the arcade attached upstairs which is ideal if you have older children too.
The stay and play often put on events in half terms, Easter, Christmas etc so it is definitely worth keeping your eyes peeled! The events are all bookable but for general visits there is no need to book – just turn up!
The Stay and Play is located in Hale Leys shopping centre in Aylesbury town centre. We drove and parked in Exchange Street car park – HP20 1UR which cost us £2.50 for up to 3 hours. (Jan 2023)
