St John’s Toddlers is a group for pre-school age children (primarily 0-3 year olds) and their adult carers (parents, grandparents, childminders, nannies etc). The sessions are organized and run by a committee of volunteers on behalf of Grove Parish Church. We meet during school term-time on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9:15am to 11:15am. The sessions are very informal, with a bible story or theme song, followed by juice and biscuits for the children (tea, coffee and cakes for the parents!).
There is also an easy craft activity to do, which is connected to the story, and lots of time for free play. Each week, both sessions of Toddlers will have the same story and activity, so
families are welcome to come for just one session or both.
The fees are currently £1.50 per family, per session; your first visit is free.
At the end of the Christmas and Summer term we hold a party for the children including lunch for all. We also hold a Christmas Eve Crib Service in the Church where the children get to dress up and be in the Nativity Story – this has proved to be very popular!
