Lytham has one of the best play parks we’ve been too. Once a boggy field, the Park View 4U charity was set up in 2003 and have transformed the area at QEII Park View playing fields.
What makes is extra special is that it really does have something for all ages.
Toddler Play Park
There’s a dedicated play area for little ones with a pirate ship and train for great imaginative play. It’s surrounded by a fence and right next to the cafe if you want to grab a coffee to go and sit outdoors.
Sand & Water Play Area
The sand and water play area is huge with channels that run through it, climbing frames and plenty of space for everyone. The water tends only to be on in the warmer months but bring your buck & spade and it’s still fun year round.
Teen Zone
Need a little more stretch? There’s lots to keep bigger kids active too from more challenging climbing grames, basket ball court, zip wire and the brilliant skate park and BMX track.
BMX Track
This is not just a little pump track but a great big BMX dirt track. Just watch out, it can have a few fun but muddy puddles after a lot of rain.
Skate Park
The skate park is really popular with kids off ages. Kids on scooters, bikes and roller boots or just running up and down the slopes.
Parking
There’s not a dedicated car park for the playground. You can park along Park View Road for free. Right next to the park on the other side is Ballam Road Car Park. This is for permit holders only Monday to Friday but free for anyone to use on weekends only.
