Horris Hill is a unique day and boarding prep school for boys aged between 4 and 13, set in stunning countryside on the Berkshire and Hampshire border. As well as day places, Horris Hill offer full, transition and weekly boarding options.

The curriculum is broad, blending the best of traditional teaching with modern practice; Horris Hill believe in the importance of teaching knowledge as well as the skills that open up the world of learning. From quite a young age boys are able to conduct real experiments in the science laboratories, to learn Latin, to challenge for honours in national mathematics competitions, to learn about the historical tapestry that is our national story, and achieve high standards across the curriculum.
The small class sizes mean that Horris Hill can offer a very flexible form structure. This allows them to place boys in the form which will best suit them academically and socially. Class sizes are deliberately kept small, averaging 12 boys, so that teaching is genuinely tailored to the needs of every boy, and to give that extra bit of support when needed.
Horris Hill is very lucky to have grounds of over 85 acres, much of which is natural, wild woodland. Outdoor Education sessions take place all year round. Building dens and roasting marshmallows over camp fires seem never to lose their appeal.
Sport, Art, DT, Music and Drama are key parts of the weekly timetable. Every boy has Games every day and a double Art, double DT, double Music and Drama lesson every week.
School Life at Horris Hill also includes an extra-curricular programme which offers many and varied opportunities for the boys to try out new activities and discover and develop their own individual abilities and talents outside of the classroom. From photography to climbing, they can choose their favourite activity to sign up to each day.
