Gogmore Farm Park

gogmore farm park in chertsey playground with big twisty slide

Now the weather is improving and the sun has finally made an appearance. You may be wanting to take a trip to the playground, or a stroll along the river? Well if you head to Gogmore Farm Park then you can do both.

We took Isabella’s scooter with us, and she had great fun zooming along the river and taking in all the wildlife. The surface was pretty flat so was ideal for a scooter or a bike and perfectly safe for her to ride along.

The park itself is very impressive and split into two areas – one for the smaller children and then another area for the older children to enjoy too. Both the playgrounds had metal fencing around which is ideal as means no escapes and also we found quite a few people walking their dogs so if children aren’t keen on them they don’t need to worry as safely closed away.

Isabella headed straight to the older playground (which I could see why) it had a very impressive tunnel slide which looked great fun. The climbing frame itself had a lot of things for the children to explore – there was a climbing wall, tunnels to crawl through, fireman’s pole, another slide, spiderman walls to climb up, balancing beams and lots of other exciting things to climb.

Just across from the climbing frame itself was a set of swings, and a huge tyre swing – Isabella absolutely loved it. She spent ages swinging on it, standing inside it and singing “ring a roses”’at the top of her voice.

Just a stones throw away is an impressive zip line, now whenever Bella sees one of these she’s a nightmare to get off it. I’ve no idea how long we spent on this but she was having so much fun, whizzing down the line as fast as she could. I certainly got my steps in chasing after her and bringing her back for more.

For the smaller children there is a separate playground (if you have more than one child it’s easy to watch both as the fence is low and you can easily watch both) They have a separate set of swings, and two further climbing frames to enjoy.

A very small one which still had a slide, fireman’s pole, climbing ladder and some musical poles to play on. Whereas the other climbing frame was a lot bigger for them to explore with additional slides, structures to climb around, a table and chairs to sit on, climbing wall and another fireman’s pole to enjoy too.

There is also a basketball court and a tennis court if you fancy having a go at these sports too. These are situated right next to the car park – I’m know sure if they need to be booked in advance or if it’s just turn up and play.
