Situated just outside the entrance to Thrift Farm is the super child friendly Food4Thought cafe and restaurant. It’s an ideal spot to grab a bite to eat if you’re visiting the great value farm park, check out my review, or if you just fancy somewhere with great food that’s child friendly too.
Bright and spacious, there are plenty of high chairs and a great menu. Using fresh, local ingredients, the market garden at Thrift Farm provides seasonal vegetables, fruits and salads. There are also a good range of yummy looking cakes and a wide choice on the menu from sandwiches to soups and cooked breakfast for the grown ups as well as a children’s menu ranging from lunchbox style to hot mains. I went for the southern fried chicken burger any my son had the fish fingers, both got the thumbs up.
What made the whole experience really relaxing for me was that they have a lovely little children’s play area in the corner. My friend and I chose a table close by and our little ones happily played away with toys while our food was being prepared.
On a warmer day, there are also lots of outdoor tables and you get a good view of the cows in the field opposite. If you’re visiting Thrift Farm or just fancy a stress free trip out to a family friendly cafe then I’d highly recommend Food4Thought cafe.
There’s plenty of free parking on site and it’s within easy reach of Buckingham, Milton Keynes and actually not too far from Bicester either.
