October Half Term Activities in Buckinghamshire 2023

Aldenham Country Park Spook-Fest (Elstree) 14th – 31st October

Spook-Fest Ticket includes your Farm Pass to see all the animals as well as enjoying the spooky themed farm featuring the Aldenham Mausoleum and Spooky Shack and activities including- Giant Puzzles, Pumpkin Bingo, Spider Maze, Spooky-Oke, Mini Tractor Play, Bouncy Castle, Dance Tunnel and the Bale Play. Interact with our Scarecrow characters and watch out for their Pop Up Shows

Willows Activity Farm Pumpkin Festival (St Albans) 14th -15th, 19th- 31st October

A family day out at Willows Activity Farm includes a visit to the Pumpkin Patch to pick a free pumpkin. Enjoy the Peter Rabbit Adventure Playground, funfair rides, shows, meet and greets, adventure play, tractor ride, inflatable fun, Pumpkin Hunt and Gourds Grotto.

Dinos After Dark at Paradise Wildlife Park (Broxbourne) 20th – 29th October

Take a magical trip around our World of Dinosaurs and see the dinosaurs come to life by moonlight. Packed full of all the best dinosaurs, your family will be in for an experience like never before.

Hogshaw Farm & Wildlife Park have a week of magical adventures this October half term! Follow our herbology tutor down to the pumpkin patch to collect your specimen for decorating and spot fellow Wizard School pupils getting up to mischief around the farm. For pumpkins, potions, broomsticks, owls & more

Ministry of Science at Watford Palace Theatre (Watford) 21st October

Dive deep into the world of science and look at how science shapes the modern world we live in with a few loud bangs along the way!



HalloweenSpookfest at Church Farm (Ardeley) 21st – 30th October

Come and meet the animals and enjoy wonderful rustic creepy fun!  Geared towards families so ‘spooky’ rather than ‘terrifying’, all ages are welcome!

Knebworth Gardens Halloween Adventure (Knebworth near Stevenage) 24th – 26th October 2022

Get your broomsticks, hats and magic wands at the ready and venture into Knebworth Gardens this Autumn for a Halloween Adventure!

Cartoon Circus at Watersmeet Theatre (Rickmansworth) 24th October

All the fun of the circus returns to Watersmeet this October half term when the laughter-packed stage show ‘Cartoon Circus Live’ combines the comedy of pantomime with the thrill of the circus.

Halloween Magic Show at Watersmeet Theatre (Rickmansworth) 26th October

This show is suitable for the whole family and contains mind-blowing magic, illusions, comedy and audience participation!

Three Billy Goats Gruff at Watersmeet Theatre (Rickmansworth) 27th October

With lots of catchy songs, funky dances to clap along to and a rapping troll to boot. Lost The Plot Theatrical are proud to present this smash-hit children’s musical. An interactive, family fun show and the perfect treat this half term for little ones and the big kids that bring them!

Mission Impossiball at Watford Palace Theatre (Watford) 28th October

Looking for an interactive adventure experience for you and your 5-7-year-old* this October half term? Then we have the show for you! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, to find Cinderella by breaking into the ball.

Hertford Castle Open Day (Hertford) 29th October FREE

The guided tour of Hertford Castle allows you to explore the Castle rooms and showcases the Castle’s amazing history over the years from William the Conqueror to the present day.
