October Half Term Activities in Gloucestershire 2025

SPOTLIGHT  Mystical Marsh Lantern Display at Slimbridge Wetland Centre (Slimbridge) 17th – 18th Oct, 24th Oct – 1st Nov

This Halloween, escape the ghouls and goblins and experience a wildlife-packed lantern trail that will leave big and little nature fans spellbound. For those who love the super natural but not the spook, the Mystical Marsh Lantern Experience is a magical must-do this October half term.


Hayles Fruit Farm Spooky Trail & PYO pumpkins (Winchcombe, near Cheltenham) 18th – 31st Oct (Closed Mondays)

Hayles Fruit Farm pumpkin patch will run from 18th to 31st October 2025.  Not only will there be pumpkins to pick but a Halloween trail too.


Witch’s House at Cogges (Witney) 22nd October – 2nd November

This was AMAZING last year.  Keep an eye on Red Kite Days socials for this year’s review.

This October half term, there’s a cauldron full of Halloween fun at Cogges Manor Farm in Witney. The Manor House magically transforms into the Witch’s House and this year the theme is Monstrous Movies.

There’s also a Halloween Trail, spooky fun craft activities, meet the animals in the farmyard.


Halloween Trail at Blenheim Palace (Woodstock) 23rd October – 2nd November

Wander from dusk into darkness and through the spooky spider tunnel to be surprised by fantastic fire performers as you watch out for the headless horseman emerging from the mist.


The Stanley’s Halloween Adventure Trail (Kings Stanley, near Stroud) 26th – 31st Oct

Come and join in for some spooky fun at the annual Halloween trail around the Stanley’s to raise money for Kings Stanley Playgroup! Don’t worry if you can’t make it on the day! The maps for the trail will still be available to buy after.
