But this summer, they’ve seriously upped their game, it really is the place to be!

We love Manchester and Cheshire, but there’s always been one thing missing… a beach! Well, The Lambing Shed has delivered.

The beach area is incredible, it’s absolutely huge and completely undercover, so perfect in all weathers. For my fair-skinned children, it was idea, the fresh-air feeling of being outdoors without the stress of slathering on five layers of sunscreen or trying (and failing!) to keep a hat on a toddler.

One of the best things about The Lambing Shed is that it’s open every day from 10am to 4pm (just double-check online before you go). There are loads of toys, plus buckets and spades, so you can just turn up and play!

Deck chairs and tables are dotted around the sides, making it the perfect spot to meet your mum friends for a coffee while the little ones play safely in the sand or a good one to take grandparents to.

Entry is just £5 per child (adults go free), and there’s a fantastic food truck serving coffees, tasty jacket potatoes, and children’s sandwich meal deals.

If you want to make more of a day of it, there are craft workshops for an extra £6 per child.

Please don’t leave without trying the ice creams, they’re delicious! Plus, make sure to say hello to the goats in the car park.
