Summer Tedventure at Farmer Ted’s Adventure Farm (Ormskirk) 19th July – 31st August

Dragonfly Festival at WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre (Burscough) 21st June – 22nd September

Explore the magical world of dragonflies and dive into a summer full of wondrous new wetland experiences at Martin Mere Westland Centre.
Festival of Fun at Thornton Country Park (near Skipton) 23rd July – 31st August

Jurassic Adventure at Mrs Dowsons Farm Park (Clayton-le-Dale) 19th July – 31st August
Join the explorers, using stunning puppetry to bring remarkably life-like dinosaurs to life. Step into the barn restoration where an archaeology dig is underway and and discover immersive storytelling, friendly baby dinosaurs, a huge Stegosaurus, and the menacing T-Rex – plus all the fun of the farm park.

Lancashire Haws & Owls at Barton Grange Garden Centre (Preston) 16th – 17th August
Meet the people and the birds from Lancashire Hawks and Owls, a private organisation that rescues and looks after birds of prey which cannot be returned to the wild. All of the birds in the display are hand reared and totally approachable which means you can touch them and have your photo taken with them for a charge of £2 (cash only).
Late Night Farm Experience at Greenlands Farm Village (Carnforth) Fridays in August
A 2 hour session on the farm! Come behind the scenes for an after hours experience! Greenlands Farm Village are hosting an evening full of animal handling, interactive talks and so much more!

The Magic of Middle Earth at The Atkinson (Southport) 21st June – 27th September FREE

Kenneth Grahame’s classic novel makes an ideal family show in the skilled hands of Illyria. Children can sit on rugs right at the front of the stage.
The Elephant and the Drummer (Blackburn) – 29th August FREE

A roaming, interactive, dance and live music walkabout performance. Audiences can watch and they will be encouraged to dance along and to touch the elephant at her direction. This free 30 minute performance will happen 3 times in the day at 11am, 12.30pm & 2pm outside the Mall on King William Street.
The Fisher and his Wife (Blackburn) – 29th August FREE
This traditional story from the fairy tale collection of the Brother’s Grimm has a sudden rebirth and renewed relevance in the present day
