Open Farm Sunday Buckinghamshire

LEAF Open Farm 2022 is on Sun­day, 12th June.  An anuual farming open day giv­ing vis­i­tors the oppor­tu­ni­ty to learn more about farm­ing and the coun­try­side, and farm­ers the chance to talk about what they’re so proud of: British food and farming!

Enjoy meeting the animals, learning about soil health, hunting for bugs, or taking a tractor ride. Each event is unique… and most of them are free!

Here’s some highlights from Buckinghamshire Farms opening their gates this Sunday.


Manor Farm

Date: 12th June 2022

Throughout the open day 11am-4pm we will be running guided tours to meet all our animals and gain an insight to how the animal care and interactions help those who attend Animal Antiks to overcome mental health issues and difficulties.

Our knowledgeable staff will run Q&A’s on each animal breed from Alpaca’s to guinea pigs, from donkeys to chickens, we have a wide variety of farm animals all of which love to be interacted with.

We will also be taking small groups of alpaca and friend walks around our fields surrounding the farm. The groups will include goats, donkeys, alpacas, Shetland ponies and sheep, all of whom love a wander and the attention.

Come and join us exploring a real mixed farm with animals, crops, tractors and wildlife!
Sheep, chickens, cattle, goats, donkeys and turkeys, even some smaller furry friends! Find out how Farmers care for the countryside alongside feeding the nation, as well as how Countryways CIC provides special Care Farming to help people.
Light refreshments available, even pizza. Involvement for all the family. Sheep dog display.


Sandy Lane Farm

Enjoy some time on our mixed organic farm and see where we grow over 300 different varieties of vegetables throughout the year. Go on a farm walk and talk to Farmer George and the team of growers who keep the veg going. Meet our pigs, feed our hens and have a look at the tractors and machinery we use to help us with the day to day running of the farm. Farmer Fred will also be with us, shearing some of our sheep by hand.

The farm shop will be fully stocked with freshly harvested produce and excellent coffee, local beer from XT Brewery, cake & a BBQ will be available in the farm yard.
Sorry no dogs, welly wearing recommended.


Laceys Family Farm

Event cost: Entrance fee applies (£3 Per adult, under 12s free entry)

We are really excited to open our farm to the general public so you can come and see what happens behind the farm gates. We will have Milking Demonstrations, Tractor Trailer rides, Cows, Calves and Sheep to see as well as kids corner activities, BBQ, ice creams and refreshments.
