SPOTLIGHT High Lodge Farm Spooky Trail & Pumpkin Patch

High Lodge Farm’s spellbinding Halloween trail and PYO pumpkin patch is returning for a another spooktacular year this October half-term.  Step into our woodland trail, where spooky surprises are waiting around every corner.

Once you’ve cracked the secret Halloween code, you can enjoy a thrilling barrel train ride around the farm, play rustic wooden games, toast marshmallows over the fire Let your children burn off energy on the bales, in the sandpit and scramble over the giant mud mountain.

Autumn Adventures: Tailes & Trails at Earth Trust (Little Wittenham) 18th – 19th October + Sat 25th to 31st October

Step into a world of autumn magic at Earth Trust!

Follow the enchanted trail and discover hidden wonders, from fairy dwellings tucked into ancient trunks to wind chimes that turn the breeze into song. This is a playful, imaginative journey for families, celebrating the changing season with riddles, surprises, and a touch of autumn enchantment.

Explore the enchanted trail, solve the maze, toast marshmallows, listen to stories and celebrate the season with a sprinkle of magic.


Witch’s House at Cogges (Witney) 22nd October – 2nd November

This was AMAZING last year.  Keep an eye on Red Kite Days socials for this year’s review.

This October half term, there’s a cauldron full of Halloween fun at Cogges Manor Farm in Witney. The Manor House magically transforms into the Witch’s House and this year the theme is Monstrous Movies.

There’s also a Halloween Trail, spooky fun craft activities, meet the animals in the farmyard.


Science Oxford Family Days (Oxford) 25th October

Visit the Science Oxford Centre for a unique family experience this autumn. Explore, discover and play in the Exploration Zone, where children and grown-ups alike have fun experimenting with interactive exhibits; create and test flying designs at the Air Table, build a giant magnetic ball run, and make fun animations with the Animate Science activity.


Spot’s Birthday Part at the Cornerstone (Didcot) 25th – 26th Oct

Spot’s Birthday Party at the Cornerstone in Didcot is the perfect introduction to theatre for little ones this October half term – full of charm, love, and the magic of Spot. Every ticket comes with a free party hat and meet and greet with Spot after the show. Join Spot and his friends for this delightful and heartwarming show, to sing, dance and wish Spot a very Happy Birthday!


School of Witchcraft & Wizardry at  Hogshaw Farm & Wildlife Park (easy reach from Bicester & Thame) 25th – 31st October

Head to Hogshaw Farm for a magical Halloween day out this October half term! Follow the herbology tutor into the pumpkin patch to collect your specimen for decorating, head to our magical classroom to try your hand at potion making and look out for rare creatures, including our smoke breathing baby dragon, along the way!


October Half Term Halloween Fun at Roves Farm (Sevenhampton) 23rd – 31st October

NEW for 2025 at Roves Farm is the Halloween Maze plus lots more seasonal fun and activities with potion shows, wand making, pumpkin carving, a monsters ball mini disco, tractor rides, Autumn nature trail and all the usual fun on the farm.


Halloween Trail at Blenheim Palace (Woodstock) 23rd October – 2md November

Wander from dusk into darkness and through the spooky spider tunnel to be surprised by fantastic fire performers as you watch out for the headless horseman emerging from the mist.


Fright Night at Roves Farm (Sevenhampton) 24th – 26th October

Prepare to embark on a spine-chilling journey this Halloween season, where terror lurks around every corner at Roves Farm.  As well as witnessing the Portal To Hell horror experience, there will be a second scare attraction that you can enjoy as many times as you like during your visit! Step into the chilling world of the Haunted Hay Maze.


Master Builders Club Brick Building Workshop

Join in for Halloween bricking building adventure.  With 1000’s of LEGO bricks, children can be dropped off for this engaging workshop or parents are welcome to stay. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
