October Half Term Halloween & Autumn Trails in Oxfordshire

18 October - 2 November

There are lots of pumpkin, scarecrow, Autumn and Halloween trails in Oxfordshire going over over half term. Lots of them are low cost and many raise money to support local charities. Best of all they get us out the house with a little added extra fun, great as an October half term activity with kids in Oxfordshire.

SPOTLIGHT – Science Oxford Pumpkin Trail

Get yourself to one of Science’s Oxford family days on Sat 25th Oct, Sat 1st or 8th November. Explore, discover and play in the Exploration Zone, where children and grown-ups alike have fun experimenting with interactive exhibits. Look out for the Live Labs, with hands-on pop up family activities in the Exploration Zone.

The autumnal fun continues with a Woodland Pumpkin Trail – spooky outfits encouraged!

You can also do the pumpkin hunt if you are attending the Science Club ‘Light Investigators’ for ages 5-9


High Lodge Farm Spooky Trail

A great traditional style trail through the High Lodge Farm woods with creative displays along the way.  Find the letters and unscramble the words for a sweet treat at the end.  After dark nights also available but don’t forget a torch!


Earth Trust Autumn Adventures: Tails & Trails

Step into a world of autumn magic at Earth Trust!

Where stories whisper through the trees, scarecrows guard secret paths, and the mischievous Maize King waits in his mystical maze. Follow the enchanted trail and discover hidden wonders, from fairy dwellings tucked into ancient trunks to wind chimes that turn the breeze into song.

This is a playful, imaginative journey for families, celebrating the changing season with riddles, surprises, and a touch of autumn enchantment.


Autumn Trail & Halloween Fun at Roves Farm

As well as an Autumn nature trail and all the usual fun on the farm, NEW for 2025 at Roves Farm is the Halloween Maze.  Lots more seasonal fun and activities with potion shows, wand making, pumpkin carving, a monsters ball mini disco, tractor rides.


Millets Farm Pumpkins By Night Spooky Trail

Spooky but not too scary, the after dark trail at Millets Farm winds it way through the enchanted woods.  There’s atmospheric lightsing, creative displays and character actors along the way.


Blenheim Palace Halloween Trail

If you want to go all out then it’s got be the Halloween Trail at Blenheim Palace.  Headless horsemen, glowing spider tunnels, fire performers, actors and more.


Bunkers Hill Pumpkin Hunt

Visit the nursery for the Pumpkin Hunt, vote for your favourite of the Ugly Mug Pumpkin Parade & Guess the weight of Big Bertha (for a chance to win them!)


Skeleton Trail at Ridgeway Adventures

A terrible accident has happened at Ridgeway Adventures!

The nuclear generator that keeps the lights on has blown! Come and see the fall out outside with a skeleton trail, explore the fallout bunker and play some themed games on our various ranges.

The Halloween Code Breaker Trail is BACK! Bigger, bolder, and bursting with mystery.


Tumblestone Hollow Scavenger Hunt

Weave through Stonor’s gardens and into our woodland adventure playground, completing wild and mischievous challenges along the way. If you succeed, you’ll earn your very own Magical Mayhem Certificate, together with a chocolate treat.


Halloween Hunt at Waterperry Gardens

Find the spooky characters hidden around the garden, mark that you’ve found them on the sheet provided and collect a scary prize at the end.
