Gloucester Cathedral Mars Quest

Journey to Planet Mars at Gloucester Cathedral from 15th October to 3rd November 2024.
Experience the wonders of Planet Mars right here on Earth within the sacred walls of Gloucester Cathedral with Luke Jerram’s incredible Mars: War and Peace artwork. Visitors will have the chance to see Luke Jerram’s spectacular seven metre sculpture of Mars up close in the Cathedral Nave, accompanied by an immersive soundtrack in the surroundings of our stunning dramatic space. The artwork features detailed NASA imagery of the Martian surface and is on rotation.
Mars Family Quest: Mars, War, and Peace! Explore the spectacular Cathedral setting on this space-themed journey. This engaging and educational journey will captivate participants of all ages, offering families opportunities for discovery, learning, and fun.
This Quest is free to take part in during Cathedral opening hours and no booking is required.

A stunning building with so much to see, explore, learn & discover.
The incredible Mars is currently suspended from great heights & space sounds gently capturing imaginations throughout. War & Peace – very reflective.
A great & kid friendly free trail, around the Cathedral, the girls loved it. Sticker at the end for completing it.
Lovely cafe & toilets on site too. Friendly staff & a warm welcome
