Yesterday we went to Didsbury Park for the first time, I wish we’d been sooner. It’s hidden from view of the main road which makes it feel special when you’re within its walls.
As far as I could tell there is only street parking available with the immediate streets surrounding the park having double yellow lines, I did see a traffic warden out giving tickets to those who had risked it. I managed to get a spot on a residential street a short walk away.
The park itself isn’t huge but has plenty of grassed areas to sit for picnics with trees offering perfect shady spots. Friends of Didsbury Park do a fantastic job of keeping this park looking beautiful. The flower beds are well maintained and I didn’t see a single bit of litter whilst we were there.
The playground has equipment that is great for all ages. It even has an adventure playground type are for the bigger ones. H enjoyed the climbing frame the best despite being only 2!
The Pavilion Cafe was open for take away with social distancing measures in place for queuing, with separate windows for order and collection. It’s slightly pricey menu but sounds lovely and all the proceeds go to local charity Didsbury Good Neightbours. We had tea, cake and ice cream.
