We love Didsbury Park as there’s just so much to do there. In the summer, it’s a great place to meet friends for a picnic and in the winter it’s great for a woodland walk. It really does have something for everyone!
The park includes a fantastic children’s playground complete with zip wire, and a parent and adult swing (if you haven’t tried one before head over to my Facebook or Instagram page to check it out).
The park itself isn’t huge but has plenty of grassed areas to sit for picnics with trees offering perfect shady spots.
There is also a multi use sports area that is fenced in, a football pitch, a bird garden, the lovely Pavillion cafe, a community hub building and a bowling green and they are growing a wild meadow garden!
Just behind the swings in the park is a small woodland trail, if you venture of the path and walk on the other side of the tres and bushes you will find a series of sculptures hidden behind- our little girl absolutely loved going on “this secret walk” and discovering all of the sculptures.
The Park is ran by a lovely community group, the Friends of Disbury Park. They are also hosting the Didsbury Festival on Saturday the 8th June 20924. Last year they had live music, food and craft stalls, a carnival procession, and a dog show!
