Clara’s Corner is the brand new toddler soft play that’s just opened up next to the Walled Garden Cafe in West Wycombe. Arranged over two split levels, it’s all wonderfully new and really high quality.
There are benches with cubby holes to store your shoes, bags and coats and then it’s off to explore. The family run soft play has been created by husband and wife team, James and Tor and it’s an enchanting place for toddlers to play.
With a mix of soft surfaces and wooden trees, the two spaces are all interconnected with slides, tunnels and steps with lots of different routes for little adventurers. Parker loved the slides with the wavy one to race me down and the faster twisy one for added excitement.
After having a nosey around the upper level, Parker was immediately drawn down to the big red soft play tractor, this was popular with all the kids at the session. Clara’s Corner keep the numbers per session low so it felt much calmer than most soft plays and everyone could have a turn. I had my newborn Matilda with me too which made it much easier as I could easily keep an eye on Parker and he could go wherever he wanted.
There’s no blaring music either and the lots of lovely natural light streaming in even on an overcast, grey day in January.
After a good race around checking out all the routes, Parker had a good go on the climbing wall and naming all the animals he could spot. Loved the woodland theme and a break from the harsh primary colours in the soft plays we’ve been to before.
There are some lovely busy boards to explore too and a mesmerising light feature.
Clara’s Corner is perfectly tailored to younger children, particularly once they’re on their feet. Parker is turning 3 soon and he could independently explore everything on offer.
