Magical memories made at this truly spectacular panto!
We were fortunate enough to go and see this year’s Milton Keynes Theatre pantomime, Cinderella, and we were blown away.
Starring Brian Conley, who’s a legend on stage. He has appeared in award-winning West End musicals and television sitcoms, presented his own chat show, recorded five albums and completed numerous sell-out tours of the UK, as well as appearing a record eight times on The Royal Variety Performance and starring in over 35 pantomimes. He was an absolute gem as Buttons – hilarious, engaging, interactive with the audience and really had you questioning what was scripted and what wasn’t!
The cast are incredible, the costumes are the best I’ve seen and the dances really were like something out of Strictly!
Alongside Brian, comedy duo Neal Wright and Ben Stock play fantastic love to hate Wicked Stepsisters Claudia and Tess with their wonderfully outrageous attire and larger than life vitality.
James Darch as Prince Charming and Sarah Vaughan who returns as Cinderella make the perfect fairytale couple. We loved the transformation from rags to riches, just look at her dress!
Owen Stringer plays the loveable Dandini and keeping it in the family, Brian’s daughter Lucy Conley is the wonderful Fairy 312.
It was fun, it was festive and it was packed full of talent. Some of the visuals are incredible and there were moments that left my girls truly stunned. Bella even said at one point ‘I know how they did that mum, it must be magic fairy dust!’ Betsy found some of the comedy really funny, she was really laughing at times which was lovely to see. Real fun for all of the family no matter the age!
Nice, quick and easy to park. The bar was easily accessible too. The girls loved, yet more, wands and mummy and daddy actually laughed so much we loved it as much as the kids!
I would absolutely reccomend catching a performance. The pantomime runs all the way through to 14th January. What a great event to look forward to in a sometimes rather bleak January! I absolutely would not want to miss this one.
